Positive Behaviour For Learning
St Teresa's School prides itself on providing a happy and safe environment. We have a behaviour education management system in place to reward positive behaviour and, where necessary, issue consequences for children who break the school guidelines. This is available for parents/caregivers to view. Please check at the office.
All students are required to follow the school’s motto “Act Justly, Love Tenderly and Walk Humbly with God”.
POSTIVIE BEHAVIOUR FOR LEARNING (PB4L):
· Positive behaviour can be learnt and difficult and disruptive behaviour can be unlearnt.
· Individual children are not a problem. Punishing and isolating children doesn’t bring about long-term and sustainable changes in behaviour.
· We need to concentrate on a small number of evidence-based programmes and frameworks that we know work.
· There are no quick fixes> Behaviour change takes time.
