Children who are 4 years old and enroled at St Teresa's are invited to join us every Thursday at 2 pm for the Transition to School Programme. These sessions are a great way of gently getting ready to start school. Your child will;
meet the teacher
explore the school
make new friends
reconnect with kindy buddies
learn routines
have fun
Before starting your child will be offered longer school visits to prepare for the big day!
As a Catholic school, we follow the New Zealand preference system for enrolments. This system helps us give priority to families who have a connection to the Catholic faith.
What is a preference place?
Most of our places are for students with a "preference of enrolment." This means that either the child or one of their parents is Catholic and has a connection to the Catholic Church. A signed preference certificate from a parish priest is needed to confirm this.
Do you accept non-Catholic students?
Yes, we have a small number of "non-preference" places available for students who are not Catholic. These spots are limited by law and are offered based on availability. We also keep a waiting list for non-preference families who are interested in joining our school.
If you’re unsure about the process or want help getting started, feel free to contact our school office – we’re happy to help.
St Teresa's opts into the government donations scheme and therefore does not ask parents and caregivers for donations, except for overnight camps.
